We are seeking an experienced educator to teach Chemistry in our Secondary department, delivering engaging lessons aligned with the British curriculum and preparing students for success in international examinations such as Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry and AS/A Level Chemistry.

Position: Chemistry Teacher (Secondary) Department

Main Purpose of the Role To provide high-quality, inquiry-based learning opportunities in Chemistry for Secondary students, fostering scientific understanding, practical skills, and critical thinking in preparation for ultimate success in external international examinations (Cambridge IGCSE and AS/A Level programs at AIS).

Key Responsibilities & Expectations

· Plan and deliver stimulating Chemistry lessons, incorporating practical experiments, demonstrations, and real-world applications

· Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom/laboratory environment that promotes scientific curiosity and collaboration

· Prepare students effectively for IGCSE and A-Level Chemistry examinations through targeted instruction, assessment, and revision support

· Supervise and guide students during practical work, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocols

· Collaborate with colleagues, senior management, support staff, teacher assistants, and the wider school community

· Participate in departmental planning, science-related extracurricular activities, school meetings, and professional development as required

· Contribute to evolving school needs in consultation with the Head of School
